Who should play German language games?

aGerman language learners who are at the beginners level are probably the ones who will most benefit from games that can teach them more about the language. Games can include learning everything from German words for animals, colors, numbers, clothing, and objects, to practicing verbs, phrases, and greetings. Playing German language games, whether you're learning online or in class, adds a different dimension to your studies and gives your mind a good workout.

However, even intermediate and advanced German language students can still participate in such games; this will help them keep their minds fresh and keep them from being complacent about their skills. It's all too easy to feel extra-confident about your skill level already and think that you no longer need to freshen up your German language abilities.

You can ask your instructor to incorporate games in lessons at least a couple of times a week just to keep students on their toes, or you can just play them yourself on German language websites.
